New Approaches Towards Conversion & Remedy

At this General Assembly we have Motion 37/2021 which present key changes to FSC’s P&Cs to enable the implementation of a holistic framework to address how FSC deals with past, present and future conversion. It is therefore vital that members are as informed as possible on the framework that can be implemented if this motion passes.

At this session we will present the results of this process as well as the alignment between the Policy to Address Conversion, Policy for Association, and Remedy Framework (as requested by Motion 7/2017). The information session will be followed by a panel discussion where diverse perspectives will be shared about the potential environmental, social, and economic impact this framework. There will also be an opportunity for audience to ask questions to clarify their understanding.
