Scaling Up FSC’s Impact on Sustainable Forestry: The Africa–China Programme Case

FSC has been working for years with partners to promote the trade in certified materials from tropical forests to markets along the whole value chain. In 2022, a new cross-region approach was initiated, mainly targeting the footprints of Chinese companies beyond the border, which has shown some positive progresses. We will continue this work together with network partners and complement it with a dedicated effort in collaborating with relevant stakeholders both internal and external, includes network partners, certified companies, governments, and other partners to promote FSC certification as the norm for international trade of timber and products from sourcing areas into China and to global markets onwards.
