The Future of FSC Forest Management: Streamlining Standards for Outcome Orientation

The concept of outcome orientation is part of FSC Global Strategy. Two big sets of forest management requirements are currently under revision – how FSC develops its Forest Stewardship Standards and FSC’s Principles & Criteria and International. These offer a great opportunity to make Forest Management Certification focused on delivering and demonstrating positive intended sustainability outcomes. It’s important that FSC members understand what is being developed and provide feedback on an important shift for the whole FSC Forest Management Certification system.
