EUDR in and beyond Europe - Fighting Deforestation and Degradation Together

This high-level session will explore the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), the latest updates ahead of its implementation, and its broader relevance in the fight against deforestation. We will bring together a diverse group of stakeholders to discuss how various actors can support effective implementation while addressing root causes. Topics will include updates on the EUDR, FSC tools for compliance and beyond, business readiness and early adopter experiences, civil society perspectives, and global forest governance efforts. Participants will gain practical insights into how the EUDR will work in practice — with a focus on the wood and rubber value chains. We will also discuss how to leverage existing initiatives, overcome implementation challenges, and align legal requirements with sustainability goals. The session aims to identify synergies and drive collaborative solutions for resilient, transparent, and deforestation-free supply chains.
