Briana Capra

Briana Capra, Vice President of Project Development at Chestnut Carbon, is a seasoned expert in validation, verification, and strategic project delivery. Since 2008, she’s advanced sustainable forestry through roles at Rainforest Alliance and Preferred by Nature as an FSC auditor and Senior Associate. At Chestnut Carbon, she leads the design and execution of IFM and ARR projects, ensuring each project meets rigorous standards including FSC certification and Verified Impact protocols amid growing demand for high-quality carbon offset initiatives.

Hernan

Hernán Zaldivar

Hernán Zaldivar is a forestry engineer with more than 16 years of experience in forest management, agribusiness and restoration. He was FSC's Market Development Manager at the Latin America Regional Office, where he was in close contact with the Ecosystem Services and New Approaches Working Group and was the Climate Smart Agriculture leader in Solidaridad Network with a special focus on agroforestry value chains. Hernán works at Preferred by Nature as a Senior Ecosystem Restoration Specialist and Program Technical Leader; as such is responsible for V/V services for restoration projects worldwide.
