Simone Wulf, German Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (BfN)
Simone Wulf is a scientific employee at the Division of International Nature Conservation at the German Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (BfN). One of her focal topics is sustainable consumption for biodiversity and ecosystem services worldwide. She is currently supervising a project on information, communication and international cooperation for nature-friendly consumption, which has supported the development of a Biodiversity Communication Toolkit in close cooperation with the One Planet network’s Consumer Information Programme. Her other areas of expertise include EU biodiversity policy as well as synergies for biodiversity and climate change. Simone Wulf holds a MSc in Environmental Management.
Jan Christian Polanía Giese, adelphi
Jan Christian Polanía Giese is Head of Sustainable Consumption at adelphi, an independent think-do-tank and public policy consultancy. He has worked on consumption topics from various angles from footprinting to marketing to social innovations, both at the national and international levels. His favourite field of work is consumer information – currently he is leading a project that supported the establishment of an international multi-stakeholder working group for Biodiversity Communication and resulted in a comprehensive toolkit for private sector and policy makers. Jan Christian has further co-authored the international Guidelines for Providing Product Sustainability Information and its adaptation to the E-Commerce sector, both with a working group at UNEP’s OnePlanet network. Jan Christian is an Environmental Engineer and a Design Thinker.
Laetitia Montero, UNEP
Ms. Laetitia Montero is an Economist with 15 years of experience in sustainable development. She is working on consumer information and eco labelling in the Consumption and Production Unit in UNEP as a programme officer. She is currently leading a project on Advancing and Measuring Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) for a Low-Carbon Economy in Middle-Income and Newly Industrialized Countries. Before joining UNEP, she worked on Green economy, technology and innovation for the Economic Commission in Africa. Additionally, she worked for 7 years in sustainable cities at the Economic Commission of Latin America and the Caribbean.
Anakarina Pérez Oropeza, FSC International
Anakarina Pérez Oropeza is currently the Strategic Advisor and Global Advocacy Lead at the Forest Stewardship Council International. She has over 13 years of experience in international and multi-stakeholder processes related to forestry, sustainability, biodiversity and climate change. She was responsible for driving the development of the FSC Global Strategy 2021-2026, which positions forest stewardship as a comprehensive solution to address global challenges. She is Venezuelan and received her bachelor’s degree in International Studies from the Central University of Venezuela and holds a Master of Studies in Sustainability Leadership and a Postgraduate Certificate in Sustainable Value Chains from the University of Cambridge. She is also a tutor of the online course Communicating for Influence and Impact, delivered by the University of Cambridge.
