Strategy Development for improving Market Access for FSC-certified Bamboo Products

FSC Ecuador and the FSC Value Chain Development Office have proposed this event to improve market integration of certified bamboo products, in support of the FSC Global Strategy.
This side event will bring together producers, market actors and other stakeholders to jointly address the lack of a strategy for reaching markets. The session will begin with a brief introduction, followed by a panel discussion where key stakeholders will share examples of both opportunities and challenges in marketing and selling certified bamboo. In the second part, participants will break into working groups to co-create a dashboard and timeline for building a strategy to: (i) educate potential consumers about bamboo, (ii) position certified bamboo as a sustainable forest product, and (iii) align products with the needs of emerging markets. The session will close with collective reflections to guide implementation of the strategy.
