Un cadre, plusieurs réalités : défis, opportunités et enseignements tirés des opérations forestières lors de la mise en œuvre de la Réparation

La Décennie des Nations Unies pour la restauration est en cours et les opérations forestières jouent un rôle dans sa réussite. Dans le cadre de la contribution de FSC à ces efforts mondiaux, le Cadre de réparation (Remedy Framework) FSC est entré en vigueur en 2023 grâce à la vision collective et aux contributions des membres et des parties prenantes de FSC. Deux ans plus tard, les entreprises ont commencé à mettre en œuvre cette procédure ou à se préparer à le faire, à relever des défis et à identifier des opportunités qui méritent d'être partagées. Les panélistes partageront leurs points de vue sur les défis et les opportunités pour les exploitants forestiers de mettre en œuvre le cadre de réparation et, plus généralement, la restauration. Nous entendrons les points de vue de l'Indonésie, du Brésil et de l'Afrique sur les défis, les opportunités et les enseignements tirés pour les opérations forestières afin de parvenir à une réparation. En outre, cette session explorera les possibilités d’accroître les avantages sociaux et environnementaux de la réparation, en recherchant des solutions efficaces pour différents contextes, et d'encourager la collaboration mondiale en soutenant un processus transparent et participatif de réparations sociales et environnementales.

Camila

Camila Pergentino

Camila Pergentino is a biologist with a Master’s degree in Forest Science and a specialization in Project Management. She has technical experience with the FSC and PEFC systems, including coordination roles, participation in international working groups, and analysis of normative requirements (having served as a member of the SDG). She currently works as a Forest Certification Specialist, leading the strategic initiatives of the Cooperative Program on Forest Certification (PCCF) at IPEF (Forest Research and Studies Institute).

Sarah

Sarah Diniz

Sarah Diniz is a forestry engineer, specializing in silviculture. She coordinates the Cooperative Program on Forest Certification (PCCF) at IPEF (Forest Research and Studies Institute), where she leads initiatives aimed at strengthening forest certification in Brazil. She has experience in the FSC and PEFC systems, supporting companies in obtaining and maintaining their certifications, as well as in the interpretation and implementation of technical standards.

Purwadi

Purwadi Soeprihanto

Purwadi Soeprihanto graduated from Faculty of Forestry, Gadjah Mada University, Master Program in Planning and Public Policy from Economic Faculty, Indonesia University, and The Engineer Professional Education Program, Faculty of Forestry, Gadjah Mada University. From 2012-2021, he was Executive Director of the Association of Indonesian Forest Concessionaires (APHI). Currently, he is Secretary General supporting APHI’s Board in facilitating forest concessionaires' operations in Indonesia, covering plantation and natural forest and ecosystem restoration concessionaires.   

Gary

Gary Dunning

Gary is the Executive Director of The Forest School at the Yale School of the Environment.  His primary responsibilities center on strategic planning, institutional collaborations, communications, and programming. Gary also lectures at the School on stakeholder engagement, leadership in the forest sector and timely issues in forestry. 

He is the founding Executive Director of The Forests Dialogue (TFD). TFD was created in 2000 to provide global forest leaders with a neutral, multi-stakeholder dialogue (MSD) platform and process focused on developing mutual trust and a shared understanding while working towards collaborative solutions to the challenges in achieving sustainable forest management and forest conservation around the world.  Gary previously served as the Director of the Yale Forest Forum from 1998-2000.  He holds an MF degree from the Yale School of the Environment and a BA in Geography & Natural Resources from Humboldt State University.

For more than 22 years, he has progressively worked with research, development, and conservation organizations across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the United States. He has built a reputation for transforming complex environmental and conservation challenges into highly impactful and inspiring outcomes.
