Solution Labs – a new way to tackle FSC’s biggest issues

M9 “Review and Change the Motion Process” was approved in the Bali GA, 2022. The Advisory Group created a proposal for change that acknowledges the need to refocus FSC membership energy on major strategic and aspirational topics, ensuring FSC fulfils its global mission.

After researching trends in motions from previous GAs, the Advisory Group put forward Solution Laboratories as a new model for managing members' desire for change, progress, innovation, and solutions, whilst empowering chambers and reducing the number of motions at each GA.

Statutory Motion M09/2025 will set up Solutions Labs as a formal part of FSC’s governance and decision-making process. The primary goal is to deliver impactful results through a more collaborative and effective decision-making framework, open to all members.

Join us at this side event to find out more on how this new approach empowers progress on the most important issues for members of FSC.
