From Principles to Practice: Strengthening the Social Heart of FSC

As FSC advances its Strategic Framework on Diversity and Gender (2022–2026), implementing gender-related Principles and Criteria has increasingly urgent. Gender equality and inclusion are essential priorities that strengthen the credibility, relevance, and impact of FSC’s certification system. These issues shape forest management, supply chains, worker rights, and community engagement and must be fully integrated into stakeholder practices. This session will address knowledge gaps in gender equality, diversity, inclusion, focusing on applying FSC’s Principles&Criteria, and IGIs through shared experiences, challenges, and practical solutions. It aims to empower FSC members—key agents of change—to lead inclusive, equitable progress in certification and organisational development.
