The future of FSC’s Forest Management Certification: Scope & Applicability in the Principles, Criteria & Indicators Revision

FSC’s Principles and Criteria and International Generic Indicators are being publicly consulted during the conceptual phase. This session will empower FSC Members to dive deeper into the key topics under consultation.
1) To inform about the key topics under revision in the conceptual phase for the PCI Revision, as well as learn how to navigate the consultation.
2) To get a better understanding of the scope and applicability of the PCI and understand the different perspectives and proposed direction within the public consultation

In this interactive session, participants are asked to unpack three guiding questions related to the scope and applicability of FSC’s Principles and Criteria and International Generic Indicators:

  • What are the key strengths and core values of the existing PCI?
  • What could a modular version of the PCI look like, and what contexts should be considered?
  • How could a revised PCI structure better support the implementation of requirements by key users?
