Guillermo Mortera
Guillermo Mortera is an architect with a Master’s degree in Economic Development and International Cooperation. He is Director of Communications at the World Bamboo Organization (WBO) where he works with a global team to promote bamboo as a sustainable resource and develop strategies to connect bamboo products with emerging markets. He is a Board Member of the Ned Jaquith Foundation and Co-Founder of Bamboo Architecture Company, contributing to sustainable construction projects in Mexico, Peru, Brazil, the Philippines, and India for clients such as Four Seasons, Anantara, Conrad by Hilton, and Hilton Group. Guillermo also co-founded the Oro Verde Bambú Cooperative in Puebla, Mexico, focused on community development, conservation, and environmental education.
Karla Salvador
Karla Salvador is a professional in International Relations and Business, specializing in Development Projects. She serves as the National Coordinator of CEFOVE–FSC Ecuador, where she has participated in the development of the national FSC standard and the Risk Assessment of Controlled Wood. She has supported certification processes for small bamboo producers and developed training opportunities for communities and businesses. Her experience combines sustainable forest management with the development of strategic alliances at the national and international levels.
Sean Nyquist
Sean Nyquist est Directeur par intérim du Programme pour le développement de la chaîne de valeur (VCD) chez FSC International, où il dirige une équipe chargée d'encourager l'adoption de FSC dans les chaînes de valeur forestières du bois massif, des fibres et des produits forestiers non ligneux (PFNL). Dans son rôle précédent de Responsable VCD, il s'est concentré uniquement sur l'adoption des chaînes de valeur des PFNL, principalement le caoutchouc naturel. Avec plus d'une décennie d'expérience dans le domaine du développement durable, du conseil, de la recherche et du développement et de la fabrication, Sean est titulaire d'un MBA de l'ESMT Berlin et d'une Licence en Ingénierie chimique.
