De quejas a cambios [2]: El futuro del Mecanismo de Quejas de FSC y lo que implica para los Pueblos Indígenas

This session aims to build understanding among FSC members about the fundamental changes introduced in the draft FSC Complaints and Appeals Procedure, with a particular focus on implications for Indigenous Peoples. Co-organized by FSC International (SIU) and the FSC Indigenous Foundation, the session will explore current barriers faced by Indigenous communities in accessing FSC’s dispute resolution systems and evaluate how the new procedure enhances accessibility, inclusion, and compliance with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

Through a presentation of the revised draft, real-world case studies, and lived experiences of Indigenous representatives, participants will engage in an interactive discussion on what progress has been made—and what gaps still remain. The objective is to ensure that Indigenous Peoples' rights, voices, and leadership are meaningfully reflected in FSC’s grievance systems going forward.
